Step by step
We’ll email you the keybox code. The sauna is fully self-service.
We also recommend bringing firelighters and matches. You are welcome to use essential oils!
Firewood is free and located behind the sauna. It takes roughly 45 minutes to heat up.
River water may be used on the sauna stones – please proceed with caution!
You will find cleaning supplies inside the sauna. Wipe down the bench – Mop the floor – Take your trash with you.
Please take care of the sauna and the surrounding area. Bø Badstue is run by volunteers, so we rely on everyone to do their part.

Vegard was a dear friend to those who founded Bø Badstue. He dedicated much of his time to open, inclusive communities in Bø. When he passed away at a young age, we wanted to honor his memory with something he would have cherished: a gathering space in nature for community and meaningful conversations.

Yes, you can. As a member, you get a discount when adding guests to your booking.
Yes! We offer private bookings where you get the whole sauna to yourself and your group.

§ 2 Purpose / Object The purpose of the association is to build, operate, and maintain a sauna on a voluntary basis, helping to create a sense of community and an inclusive gathering space in Bø.
The purpose shall be achieved through the following activities:
- Winter bathing and heating of the sauna.
- Construction and maintenance through organized volunteer work (dugnad) with the association's members and friends.
- Joint public events focusing on promoting mental and physical health through cold-water immersion, connection with nature, and inclusion.
Unfortunately, the sauna is not wheelchair accessible as it is located along a hiking trail by Bøelva.
